Snow Dance

There are three people in this house who love snow and one person who is just meh. I’m the meh. I was born in the South for a reason. But even I will admit that flurries like the ones below are beautiful. Mind you, I wasn’t out doing a happy dance in them, but that was taken care of for me by Ash.

This was taken in 2012, five years ago, and I can guarantee you I wanted to practice stopping motion. My exposure was 1/320, and even at that her front hand is still blurry (she moves a lot, and fast). It may be out of the focal plane, too, because my aperture was 2.8. You can see below that the original was pretty dark (ISO at 200) so I lightened it up a bit. I decreased the clarity and sharpened the photo (why do both? I don’t know). I like the look. Here’s the original:
